Mendini Collection

Design Alessandro Mendini

The tap designed by Alessandro Mendini is a project that stands out for its essential and rigorous shapes, derived from the elaboration of the parallelepiped, a pure volume from which water flows. The collection is born from this simple geometry, full of an elegant emotional force, expressed through the parallel lines and the shiny surfaces that come to life. A perfect synergy between aesthetic research and technology.

“For some time I had in mind to design a tap made of a parallelepiped. An elementary volume from which water flows. Square and schematic sections, parallel lines, straight, flat and shiny surfaces. Hence the Euclide tap, a primary form of ancient geometry. Mamoli gave me this opportunity. They studied the technique and the functions in depth, then we articulated the entire series, with great pleasure and speed.” Alessandro Mendini, March 2004
