Gio Ponti Lavabo Montecatini
The Montecatini washbasin was designed by Gio Ponti in 1949 specifically for Palazzo Montecatini. The peculiarity of this washbasin is the asymmetry of the top and the drain, which allows the consequent asymmetrical or symmetrical positioning of the tap: this allows the Montecatini washbasin to be functional and elegant but at the same time very particular.
Originally conceived as an avant-garde object in volume, design and in colour – black (later also produced in other colors), the Montecatini washbasin has a linear and architectural geometric shape.
